"The mask does not convey all the emotions that I experienced"

While Alexandra Trusova unwittingly became a participant in the scandal that erupted between the groups of Eteri Tutberidze and Evgeni Plushenko, her partner in the Russian national team Anna Shcherbakova, after winning the World Cup in Stockholm, receives a lot of positive emotions.

Upon returning to Moscow, the skater, first of all, celebrated her 17th birthday with her family, which fell on the last competitive day of the world championship, and thanked the fans for their support.

“Many thanks to everyone for the kind words, and there have been a lot of them in recent days.

It's incredibly nice to receive such touching and kind messages and videos.

PS And I'm already at home, I finally met my beauty, ”wrote Shcherbakova on Instagram.

In parallel with the rest, the athlete manages to give interviews to journalists.

In particular, she became a guest of the Evening Urgant show on Channel One.

Information about the participation of the champion of the planet in the program appeared on Tuesday, and on Friday morning she herself announced the corresponding release.

At the same time, she was alone in Shcherbakov's studio, since Ivan Urgant is still forced to work from home due to coronavirus.

Taking this opportunity, Anna even moved to the chair of the presenter.

Despite this, the issue turned out to be quite interesting, and the young figure skater answered a number of interesting questions.

In particular, Shcherbakova admitted that the World Championship in Stockholm was for her the first tournament in her career, to which she went without her parents.

However, the main problem for her was not even the absence of close people nearby, but the strict rules of the championship itself.

“We were in the so-called bubble, the hotel and the skating rink are one building.

We were on the street only when we were changing from the airport to the bus.

The rest of the time was spent inside.

We had a tour on the bus while driving to the hotel.

When I returned home, I didn't even have the feeling that I was abroad.

There was a feeling that we were locked in a room in Moscow and told: if anything, you are in Stockholm, now there will be a world championship, ”said Shcherbakova.

At the same time, in Sweden, the athlete, according to her, had to spend time not only on skating and training itself, but also on lessons, since no one canceled her studies at school even during such a significant tournament.

Anna complained that at the end of the third quarter she regularly had some kind of competition.

“There are no problems yet.

I'm not an excellent student, because I can't go to school all the time.

But fives-fours ... I guess I have no problem with the fact that I'm bad at something.

There are problems with academic performance: it happens that I am late in time - here I am grateful to the teachers who accept everything and meet halfway, ”the athlete noted.

Finally, the champion called the very victory in Stockholm “unexpected”, since the free program, in her opinion, frankly failed.

“The mask does not convey all the emotions that I experienced.

This season I had better skates, it was not my best skate, so I was surprised, ”explained Shcherbakova.

She also answered the question of what, at such a young age, she spends the numerous prize and other funds she earned.

The skater admitted that her father often gives her advice on financial literacy.

“I don’t spend money, but save it.

So far I have no concrete idea where to put them.

Parents help, in particular dad.

He tells where and how it is more profitable to invest money so that it does not just lie, but grow and work.

I invest in shares, ”Shcherbakova said.

The Russian woman also told about an unexpected gift for her 17th birthday, made to her right on the ice - a cake from the winner of the men's competition Nathan Chen.

It turns out that skaters cannot just try someone else's food so as not to get poisoned.

But in the locker room, they decided to divide the confection among everyone.

"Let's take everything together and ask: how is the rating formed?"

Surprisingly, even a victory at the world championship did not help Shcherbakova rise to first place in the ISU world ranking.

The Russian woman with 3726 points remained the second.

The Japanese Rika Kihira took the lead with 4196 points and was left without medals in Stockholm.

On the third line is Elizaveta Tuktamysheva, and on the fourth - Trusova.

In Russia, such a modest result of the currently strongest skater raised questions.

In particular, Olympic champion Natalya Bestemyanova invited the international federation to explain how it forms the report card.

“I suppose we need to talk about it, I don’t understand how they form them.

This should be done by functionaries.

Let's take everything together and ask: how is the rating formed?

Let them explain to us, because it directly affects the draw for the championships.

Of course, you need to be puzzled by this ", - quotes Bestemyanova's words" Championship ".

In turn, the Olympic champion Alexei Yagudin, on the contrary, urged not to pay any attention to Kihira's leadership, since everyone already knows who won the world championship in the women's competition.

“It seems to me that the rating does not matter - only the results.

Ratings, transitions, intermediate points in tournaments, comparison of technical content, points received at the Cup of Russia or within the framework of national championships - all these figures are useless to anyone.

The main thing is the medal with which you leave the competition or tournament.

Shcherbakova has a gold medal at the World Cup.

Everything.

Dot.

It's just that all this information does not affect anything.

Again, the result is only medals and places occupied by athletes, ”Yagudin said.

Finally, the famous coach Tatyana Tarasova, like her former ward, gave advice not to delve into the ISU rating, but to “do business”.

Meanwhile, another distinguished specialist Tamara Moskvina also gave Shcherbakova a very curious piece of advice.

She suggested that Anna switch to pair skating if she "gets tired of singles."

“It's more fun to ride with a boy.

There is someone to quarrel with, there is someone to smile with.

And most importantly - imagine, he always takes you on his arms, lifts you into the air, throws you, carries you.

Sometimes it throws out in a blowout - but you land well.

Honestly, more interesting.

So think about it, ”Moskvina said on the First Channel.

In response, Shcherbakova stressed that she was used to taking responsibility for herself, in addition, she trusts herself more than anyone else.

However, a little later, the coach called her proposal nothing more than a joke.

According to her, Anna is not suitable for pair skating "in terms of height", since she will need a too tall partner.

Well, for the athlete herself, the season at the championship of the planet is not over yet.

In mid-April, she will travel to Japan, where the World Team Championship will take place from the 15th to the 18th.

In addition to the 17-year-old figure skater, Russia will be represented in the women's competition by the silver medalist of the World Cup in Stockholm Tuktamysheva.
