Liverpool embarrasses the Egyptian Federation regarding the request for Mohamed Salah to participate in the Olympics

English media revealed the first official response from Liverpool FC regarding the possibility of allowing the Egyptian star and the team's goal-scorer, Mohamed Salah, to participate in the Tokyo Olympics, which will be held between July and August.

The newspaper "Liverpool Echo" revealed a strange and embarrassing response from the English club to the Egyptian Federation, as it was announced yesterday, the head of the temporary committee for the management of the Egyptian Football Association, Ahmed Mujahid that they had sent an official letter to the management of Liverpool, requesting approval for Salah's participation with the national team. Egypt in the Olympic football finals, the media section of the English club denied that they had received any official letter from the Egyptian Federation, which completely contradicts Mujahid's statements that they were sent since the speech period, through an official channel.

The Media Department said, "In the event that any request comes in this regard, the club will not rush to respond to it directly, and the request will be discussed, and it may take time to take a final position regarding whether or not to allow Salah."

Salah's participation in the Olympiad is a source of discomfort for Liverpool, because it will make him miss the preparations for the next season, in addition to that the Olympiad will end a week before the start of the competitions in England in mid-August, which will make the Egyptian scorer absent from a significant number of matches, in addition to the possibility of being injured, and the issue of fatigue and stress. Who will suffer, especially since the Olympiad is held in Japan, where travel for very long hours, in addition to the complications of precautionary measures due to the Corona virus.

It is noteworthy that the clubs are not obligated by "FIFA" to allow their players to participate with their national teams in competitions such as the Olympics, other than the World Cup qualifiers and the continental cup finals.
