Several Swedish long distance stars want women and men to run the same competition distances.

And earlier this week, Sweden's national team manager Anders Byström told SVT Sport that it is an issue they want to pursue.

But the Swedes do not get support from the Norwegian side.

At least not from Therese Johaug.

- The time differences are greater on the women's side than on the men's side.

If the ladies then have to go as far as the men, it will be even more boring.

It is not the right way to go, says Johaug to VG.

"Almost a little offensive"

Frida Karlsson has previously said that the differences that now exist are unfair.

- It is very strange that the boys go twice as far as us in, for example, skiathlon.

It is almost a bit offensive, said Frida Karlsson.

According to Anders Byström, the issue will thus be raised at the FIS general meeting at the turn of the month May-June.

- We have talked about this during the winter, I think it will be an issue at the Fis meeting.

Now Vegard Ulvang (chairman of Fi's cross-country skiing committee) has seen and read this as well, Byström tells SVT Sport.
