Asensio and Benzema give Real Madrid a win over Eibar

Real Madrid scored twice for strikers Marco Asensio and Karim Benzema to win 2-0 at home to Eibar in the Spanish Premier League on Saturday, to continue the pressure on leaders Atletico Madrid before facing Liverpool in the Champions League next Tuesday.

And Asensio finally gave Real Madrid the lead in the 41st minute after canceling two goals for offside, when he converted a pass from Casemiro into the net with a close-range shot.

After dominating the first half, Real Madrid suffered for a long time in the second half with very heavy rain at Alfredo Di Stefano's stadium.

Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois almost caused the opposite goal when he missed a pass that was returned to him by a defender, but he controlled it before it crossed his own goal line.

Then the referee canceled a Real Madrid goal for offside for the third time, but in the end Benzema scored the second important goal with a header following a cross from Vincius Junior in the 73rd minute.
