Video: Bees attack football fields again

A picture of a beehive spread on social media in the Marsool Park stadium of the Saudi Al-Nasr Club during the Saudi national team's match with its Palestinian counterpart, last Tuesday, in the qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup and the 2023 AFC Asian Cup.

The image brought back to mind two unforgettable scenes of bees storming soccer fields, the first was violent when a large swarm attacked the pitch during a match in the second division Ecuadorian league and caused it to be stopped after the players had to lie on the ground in order to avoid being stung.

The British newspaper "Daily Mail" had published a video years ago showing everyone on the field lying flat, placing their hands above their heads during the invasion of the stadium, and a large number of them were affected by the sting and needed help.

The second scene comes from a match in the Tanzania Cup after a swarm of bees also attacked the players and fans in the stands, and the Kenyan website "Toko" published a video of the incident at the time, as the match stopped amid an unusual scene in the football stadiums.
