It was at the end of last year that Peder Fredricson gradually began to train All In for 2021 and this summer's Olympics in Tokyo.

And now the comeback is near.

After almost a year and a half without competition, the plan is for the 15-year-old gelding to compete again in May.

- Yes, he is in competitive condition now, says Peder Fredricson to Dagens Nyheter.

The plan was for All In to start competing already in April, but the corona pandemic and the herpes virus EHV-1, also called the abortion virus, have caused the comeback to be postponed.

- It has been a very difficult year to plan something, says Fredricson.

The Swedish rider and All In have reaped great success together.

At the Olympics in Rio 2016, the crew took silver and the following year it became European Championship gold individually and European Championship silver in teams.

In mid-December 2019, All In was given time off.

The plan was that he would start competing again last spring and recharge before the Olympics, but then the corona pandemic struck and Fredricson chose to rest the horse throughout 2020.

Fredricson recently had surgery on his hand after a tendon in his hand went off but will get rid of the cast in a week and a half.

Then the charging continues together with All In towards the Olympics, which are only months away.

- It feels like he is starting to get in really good shape, says Fredricson.
