The competition has only been decided once before, 2019. The following year it was canceled due to corona, but this year it was decided that the competition would be decided again.

And the Swedish participants rejoice.

Ingrid Lindblad, 20, is in a shared management together with the American Rose Zhang.

But it was hard inside.

Lindblad's start to the second round could not have started worse.

After nine holes, she was three over par and would continue as it started, it was uncertain if she would even be allowed to participate during the final day.

But Lindblad pulled together and accounted for an impressive last nine which included birdies on holes 10, 12, 13, 16 and 18.

Became final ready after special play

Lindblad is the only Swede who can play the decisive round on Saturday.

Linn Grant, who is in joint eighth place, and Beatrice Wallin in 14th place are also in striking position.

Last into the final day was Maja Stark who needed a birdie on the last hole to force special play.

Once in the special game, it became a new birdie and she thus knocked out the five others who were part of the special game.
