"After Sebastian Hoeneß left the club for Hoffenheim at short notice last summer, Holger Seitz agreed to take on the position of amateurs' coach on an interim basis until we have found a suitable successor," said sports director Hasan Salihamidzic.
“We recently reached an agreement with Danny Schwarz and Martín Demichelis that they should both inherit Holger as a duo from the 2021/2022 season.
We now prefer this decision in the interests of everyone. "
This step is also made possible by the increasingly likely termination of the junior national leagues, which means that Schwarz / Demichelis are already available for their new role.
Demichelis has been coach of the U19s since the 2019/2020 season, but had hardly been able to play competitive games with the A-youths due to the pandemic.
