"Lower-than-expected GDP contraction in 2020 and rapid easing of COVID-19 constraints have improved growth momentum, prompting an increase in Russia's economic growth forecast to 2.9% in 2021 and 3.2% in 2022." - says the report of the World Bank.

At the same time, the forecast is subject to significant uncertainty and downside risks.

It also follows from the document that the World Bank expects a reduction in the level of poverty in Russia by the end of 2021, but it will exceed the pre-pandemic indicators until 2022.
