Barcelona won the first meeting with a clear 3-0 after goals from Oshoala, Caldentey and Hermoso.

Which meant that Manchester City needed to score at least four goals to move on.

It started well for Manchester City, who took the lead with 1-0 in the 20th minute through Janine Beckie.

The City striker hit a return after a corner.

A result that stood at half time.

In the second half, Barcelona created a lot of chances without finding the net.

That changed in the 59th minute.

After a fine move down the middle Asisat Oshoala nearly gave the home side a goal after 1-1.

Less than ten minutes later, City were penalized.

A penalty that Samantha Mewis put there.

Which meant 2-1 for the home team.

It was also the end result.

Barcelona is thus on to the semifinals of the Champions League.
