Viktor Arvidsson and Calle Järnkrok showed the way for Nashville in the first period.

First, Arvidsson made it 1-0 after rounding the goal cage himself.

The puck bounced on both the back Calvin de Haan and the goalkeeper Malcolm Subban before it looked into the goal.

Järnkrok was also lucky with the bounces.

When Mattias Ekholm unloaded the shotgun, he took the puck on Järnkrok and into the goal.

Despite the jump start, it was even.

In the final period, Chicago came back and made both 1-2 and 2-2.

Up on the playoffs

However, that did not help.

Early in the final period, Nashville regained the lead when captain Roman Josi was put 3-2 after an assist by Arvidsson.

- It was really nicely played by Eeli Tolvanen and Viktor Arvidsson, with many suits to put me in position.

I went towards the goal and it went through the post and in, says Roman Josi.

The goal was the last of the match and Nashville took the fifth straight victory.

- I really like the level of focus, the quality of the game and the work effort.

We had the attitude needed to succeed.

The guys did it and it is a tribute to them, says head coach John Hynes.

With the victory, Nashville rises to the playoffs in the central division.
