Maenoyama Taro, a former sumo wrestler, died on the 11th of this month due to multiple organ failure.

I was 76 years old.

Former Ozeki Maenoyama Shimizu was born in Moriguchi City, Osaka, and entered the Takasago stable and stepped on the first bale in the spring of 1958.



He made a new start in the autumn of 1966, and was good at pushing sumo wrestling, and was promoted to Ozeki after the Nagoya place in 1970, and retired in the middle of the spring place in 1974.



After retiring, he founded the Takadagawa stable and gave guidance to the younger generation. In 2009, he handed over the room to the current Takadagawa master of former Sekiwake Akinoshima and retired in 2010.



According to the Japan Sumo Association, Mr. Shimizu died of multiple organ failure on the 11th of this month.
