Manchester City choose not to renew Sergio Agüero's expiring contract.

And the eight remaining league rounds and this spring's cup game will be the 32-year-old's last chance to wear City's jersey.

"I feel immense satisfaction and pride in having played for Manchester City for ten full seasons - something that is unusual today," Agüero wrote on Twitter.

He came to City from Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2011. And during his debut season, he arranged the club's first league title in 44 years.

Because in the final round, victory against Queens Park Rangers was required so that rival Manchester United would not become champions.

After 90 minutes, City were down 1-2, in the second extra minute Edin Dzeko equalized.

And then in the fourth extra minute, Agüero made sure that the Etihad Stadium completely exploded when he scored the decisive goal.

In addition to that league title, Agüero has won the Premier League three more times with Manchester City, and it could be a fifth as City lead the current Premier League season big.

In addition, he has been involved in winning the League Cup five times and the FA Cup once.

The Argentine won the shooting league in the 2014/2015 season on 26 goals.

In total, there have been 257 goals in 384 matches for the club so far.

Even though he is now leaving City, he will still always be at the arena.

Chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak tells us that a statue of Agüero will be erected at the Etihad Stadium.
