Launching the slogan "The 50th Cup" at the final of the Arabian Gulf Cup
The Professional League announced the launch of the "50th Cup" slogan on the final match of the Arab Gulf Cup for the current season 2020-2021, to be held on the ninth of next April at Sharjah Stadium, and the gathering of the Al-Ahly and Al-Nassr youth teams.
The association said in a press statement today, Sunday: “This step comes on the part of the League, as part of the initiatives that translate the directives of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, to announce the year 2021, (the year of fifty), to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the state.”
She added: “We are proud to launch this title to be the final within the initiatives, events and celebrations that will be held for a full year under the supervision of the Committee for the Celebration of the country's Golden Jubilee, which is chaired by His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and Her Highness Sheikha Maryam bint Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Committee".
The League affirmed that “(The 50th Cup) will be a slogan that will be translated on the ground during the final of the Arab Gulf Cup, by seeking to highlight the festive spirit on this occasion, in order to continue the march of prosperity and development in all areas, including sports and football in particular.”
