The Swedish Championship mass start over 15 kilometers in biathlon looked like it could be a duel between Sweden's two strongest men this season: Martin Ponsiluoma and Sebastian Samuelsson.
Samuelsson went into the last shot with a comfortable lead but stood for a barrier.
At the same time, Ponsiluoma's last shot was spotless, which meant that he was just over six seconds behind.
But Ponsiluoma could not challenge Samuelsson in the race and finished second, 9.9 seconds behind the victorious Samuelsson.
Jesper Nelin - who took the Swedish Championship gold in the sprint last Friday - was third, 19.9 seconds behind Samuelsson.
