Brynäs suffered a really heavy loss in the first Swedish Championship final.

Although they took the lead in the first period, Luleå turned around and won in the end with a full 6-1.

Today Brynäs looked to go on another loss but thanks to two quick goals by Josefin Bouveng in the end they took the match to extra time.

Once there, Petra Nieminen decided and took Luleå one step closer to gold.

Brynäs started strong on home ice in front of the small crowd on site in the lodges.

With good pressure in the ride, they created a lot of pressure in the match introduction.

With just under two minutes left of the first period, the first goal came.

Noora Tulus cracked the zero when she with a flawless shot placed 1-0 to Luleå in the kiss.

Luleå withdrew

But when it started to look like Luleå would take home another victory, the equalizer came.

In the middle of the third period, Patricia Marshall slipped in the equalizer when she caught the puck that came loose in the goal area.

The joy, however, was short-lived.

Two minutes later, Petra Nieminen was able to put 2-1 in powerplay.

The game then barely got started before Nicoline Jensen increased to 3-1 just seconds later.

Brynäs caught up

But Brynäs did not want to give up.

Josein Bouveng, who was back after coronary heart disease, slammed in 2-3 with four minutes left to play.

And of course, Bouveng would step forward again.

With two minutes left, she sent in 3-3 and the match went to extra time.

Barely five minutes into extra time, Petra Nieminen decided when she put 4-3 to Luleå.

Luleå thus has the chance to take home the gold at home on Monday.
