Alexandersson was washed after missing the award ceremony after the competition.
The reason she did not show up was a misunderstanding, she thought that only the top three would participate.
"We are really sorry for the misunderstanding and hope that the ISMF (International Ski Alpine Federation) will review this rule in the future," the national team wrote on Instagram.
In the World Ski Alpine Skiing Championships earlier in March, she took a silver and a bronze.
The 28-year-old also has ten World Cup gold medals in orienteering and ten in ski orienteering.
She also has a World Cup gold in skyrunning on the merit list.
