Tilda Ström is the 18-year-old who has scored 55 goals for her Villa in the basic series alone, and enters the Swedish Championship final with the recent awards Player of the Year and Achievement of the Year.

She is the spearhead who can lead Villa's ladies to their first Swedish Championship gold in bandy, two years after the club's men's team succeeded in the same feat.

- My main strength is skating, at least that's how I experience it, says the girl who has emerged as a whirlwind in the opponent's defense this winter.

Villa's Västgötaskola is what all Swedish bandy associations yearn for.

A successful men's team, also during normal years a lot of spectators and good finances, as well as a large youth section that nurtures its own talents including girls.

Tilda Ström is a product of this business, also with routine, as she began her national team career by scooping goals and winning World Cup gold for Sweden last year, as a 17-year-old.

Brilliant day form

The form of the day is obviously brilliant: Villa, who have won all matches this winter, crushed Skutskär 14-0 in two semi-final matches, and Tilda Ström scored six of the goals.

Now she is chasing Swedish Championship gold against the defending champions Västerås.

- It feels irritating but at the same time very inspiring.

We have been charging for this for a long time, and are super-tagged.

For my own part, I think a lot is about putting in a hard job from minute one, says Tilda Ström to SVT Sport.
