Zebastian Modin has five World Cup medals and five Olympic medals on his CV as a parachutist.

He competes in the class for cross-country skiers with visual impairment.

In the Paralympics in Pyeongchang 2018, he also participated in biathlon and came seventh - now he will measure his strengths against the Swedish biathlon elite in the Swedish Championships in Östersund.

Modin will compete in the single mix relay, but it is not yet clear who his partner will be.

“I am in a development phase in my biathlon and do not have too high expectations.

But when Biathlon Östersund, which I represent, got in touch and asked if I wanted to run, I was obviously positive ", he says in a press release.

Modin will shoot with electronic shooting that will correspond to the other participants' degree of difficulty on the shooting range.

With the help of a companion, he gets around the race track.

Both the Swedish Biathlon Federation and the Swedish Parasport Federation look forward to the competition.

"Hopefully it can inspire more athletes to take a similar path," says Rikard Grip, Secretary General of the Swedish Biathlon Federation in a press release.

The singles mixed relay will be decided on Sunday at 9.30.
