Ebba Andersson's debut in Ski Classics was successful when she won the 54 kilometer long Vålådal race on Saturday.

Then she defeated, among others, the overall winner Lina Korsgren, who this season has poked down Britta Johansson-Norgren from the long-distance throne.

Despite that, Korsgren welcomes World Cup stars to Ski Classics.

- I think it's funny.

This means that the long races get more eyes on them as Ebba and company are very big poster names.

It turns out that we really have to prove that we are not bad skiers either.

It is fun that they want to come and drive and I hope that more World Cup skiers dare to drive the long races also during the season in the future, says Korsgren.

"Truly impressed"

Did you think that Ebba Andersson could win?

- I did not think she would stake, I thought she would go with the bracket.

I'm really impressed with her upstart.

It would have been fun to be involved and challenge a little better, but I can only hope that she will return next year and we will have to do it again.

Korsgren has won the Vasaloppet three times, but this season she has also been the best over time as she wins the overall in Ski Classics.

Now she is the one the others want to beat.

- It is a slightly different situation, but I try to turn it into something positive.

It would be stupid to say that you do not thrive in that position, because it is somewhere where everyone wants to be.

"Bets on a fourth Vasaloppet victory"

Now that you have won basically everything, what are your new goals?

- I have said that I take one year at a time for quite a few years now.

It will be a much needed rest when this season is over, but then I am absolutely ready to invest another year.

I almost think it's more fun than ever and I'm in better shape than I've ever been.

It may be to bet on a fourth Vasaloppet victory.

On Saturday, the end of the season awaits when the riders will tackle the record-breaking Årefjäll race over 100 kilometers.

- I am completely set that it will be a very tough race.

For me, it is not the 10 miles in itself that I am so afraid of, as I have ridden the Vasaloppet many times, but it is the forearm.

It looks like it will be a furious race with very wet snow and tough tracks.

It's more what I go and worry about and am nervous about.
