Japanese Yuzuru Hanyu showed the best result in the short program, having received 106.98 points for his hire.

The second place was taken by his compatriot Yuma Kagiyama (100.96).

The third is American Nathan Chen, who made a fall at the very beginning of the rental and received 98.85 points from the judges.

Russian Mikhail Kolyada took fourth place (93.52), and Evgeny Semenenko became tenth (86.86).
