This weekend, the Swedish handball ladies were ready for the Olympics in Tokyo.

Now it's time to reload the next task.

In April, the World Cup qualifiers against Ukraine await.

Today, the national team captain Tomas Axnér presented the team that will try to take Sweden to the World Cup in Spain.

It will be basically the same squad as in the Olympic qualifiers except that he took out one player less and it will be Hanna Blomstrand who is left out of the squad.

- She is of course a player who is in the gross squad and can supplement if there are injuries, says Axnér.

The first meeting will be played away on either 16 or 17 April and the return will be played in Lund on 20 or 21 April.

Sweden will gather in Ukraine on 12 April.

- It is by no means a blueberry we should meet.

It will be something to put our teeth into even if we go in as favorites, says Axnér.

The World Cup will be played in Spain 2–19 December 2021 and consists of 32 teams.
