The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has formally requested the Superior Sports Council (CSD) the "suspension" of

Javier Tebas

as president of the Professional Football League (LFP) "because his performance has affected and continues to affect very seriously the integrity of the competition and of the LFP itself. "

Likewise, the body led by

Luis Rubiales

urges the Administrative Court of Sports to "initiate a disciplinary proceeding" against Tebas "for the alleged commission of very serious infractions typified in article 76 of the Sports Law."

The RFEF bases its request on

"Tebas's relations with CF Fuenlabrada"

.

Since the president of the LFP "signed and presented an order or budget sheet at the end of 2018 for the amount of 130,000 euros to provide legal services to the group of companies linked to the president of CF Fuenlabrada,

Jonathan Praena Sánchez

."

"Among these companies is CF Fuenlabrada," he adds, while stressing that "as stated in the budget, the director of the legal team would be Javier Tebas Medrano."

"The advice of Tebas Medrano was not only carried out (both to the leaders and to Fuenlabrada) before his entry into professional football, but also after," continues the RFEF letter.

"So much so that the president of the LNFP appears included in multiple emails with different dates and on different issues later."

Which, "has been tacitly recognized by the interested parties, although trying to minimize its importance, despite constituting a true scandal by itself."

The RFEF emphasizes that "in the 2018/2019 season, Fuenlabrada participated in the Second Division B competition, that is, a non-professional category, so it was not integrated into the LNFP".

"However," he adds, "in that season he was promoted to the Second Division, professional category, which implied his integration into the LNFP."

"More serious than the foregoing, there is no record that Tebas communicated anything regarding the services that his office and under his direction provided to CF Fuenlabrada," continues the entity led by Rubiales.

"The fact of providing services for an entity affiliated to the LNFP is in itself an offense subject to sanction."

"If to that is added, as is clear from the facts, the deliberate concealment of this situation, it is observed how its severity increases."

For all these reasons, the RFEF considers that the events carried out by the president of the LNFP constitute "an evident violation of the regulations and of the agreements of the LNFP itself regarding conflicts of interest."

At the same time, he attributes to the top executive of the Spanish league having "favored the legal position of Fuenlabrada against other clubs that were also members of the LNFP."

But he also denounces the existence of "economic interests" in Tebas "with another entity associated with the LFNP,

Granada, CF

", for whom the RFEF maintains that Tebas has also provided professional services.
