In the original schedule, the semi-final game, which was last completed no later than five days before the final, would have time to land, charge and get the right entrance to the acclaimed final, Sweden's Super Bowl.

Now it can be a matter of two days if the semifinal series goes to five matches.

Ideally, Sandviken, who on Monday night had 14 players and seven leaders co-infected, would have liked to have had a single decisive match for the final place.

- With a view to recovery, we would have really liked it to be decided during a match in Lidköping to get the best possible conditions before the final, but we find ourselves in this decision.

All in all, it is still incredibly positive that we get to play about it, says Markarian.

Villa has lived with covid infection for a year

Villa Lidköping has lived with the problem for a year, ever since the covid infection in the semi-final series then, and has been refined.

- Considering that we have not played in a week, it is important that we get to play through the bodies and get match tempo, even if it sounds strange that it should happen in a semi-final series, but we have been set on it from the beginning.

We have been aware that we can only have a day's rest until a possible final when we have discussed.

At the same time, we can not pull this off indefinitely because we have an opponent in AIK who is waiting to play the final, says Villas club director Jonas Johansson.

There is great uncertainty about what the team can look like when semi-final three starts on Sunday.

The lifeline with moved matches has been removed.

- We do not really know.

According to the quarantine rules, everyone must be back, but then there is also the parameter that you must be symptom-free for 48 hours.

Ideally, you should also have had a workout before as well.

Even if we do not have the answer, we believe we will line up with a team.

I hope so, says Saik's Markarian.

Given the strained schedule, there may be talk of WO matches.

- I do not know what the team will look like.

We have symptom-free players who can return to training tomorrow, but it may be that we are forced to leave WO, says Villas Johansson.
