The latest largest table tennis championship Sweden arranged was the team WC in Halmstad 2018 when it became Swedish bronze.
"Our strategy is to be active and seek international events because championships at home increase the cohesion within the ping pong family, provide increased media space that gives us the opportunity to grow the sport and give our fantastic national teams an opportunity to show themselves at home," says Svenska the table tennis association's chairman Petra Sörling in a press release.
