Will Juan Martin Del Potro ever get away with his physical problems?

At 32, the Argentine announced Monday that he would undergo a fourth surgery in Chicago on his right knee, in the hope, all the same, of participating in the Olympic Games in Tokyo.

The former world number 3, winner of 22 ATP tournaments including the US Open in 2009, winner of the Davis Cup with Argentina in 2016 and two-time Olympic medalist (bronze in 2012, silver in 2016), did not played since June 2019 and his injury during the London Queen's tournament.

"I won't stop trying"

Del Potro explained on his Instagram account that he “tried a lot of conservative and alternative treatments.

They have not given good results, and with him (Dr Jorge Chahla) we believe that the best option is surgery.

Because he knows my desire to resume the game and to be at the Olympic Games ”(July 23-August 8).

This will be the fourth operation for her knee, in addition to four wrist surgeries.

“I won't stop trying” to get back in shape, he promised.

We cannot doubt that.
