Emil Persson is well on his way to an overall victory in Ski Classics.

On Sunday, he won the Tåssåsen Criterium after a sprint drama with the Norwegian Morten Eide Pedersen.

Persson managed the race well and was second and third in the group throughout the race, before he had the strength to sprint and win the race during the last kilometer.

It was also Persson's sixth victory in his career in Ski Classics since 2011.

With the victory, Persson extended the overall lead in the cross-country Cup Ski Classics by 80 points.

And now has a 190 point lead over the Norwegian Tord Asle Gjerdalen before the final competitions.
