Lewandowski scores a hat-trick in a landslide win for Bayern

Bayern Munich, defending champion and leaders of the German Premier League, regained the four-point difference with their closest chasers with a landslide 4-0 win over Stuttgart on Saturday after Robert Lewandowski scored a hat-trick after Alfonso Davis was sent off early.

With this result, Bayern have 61 points from 26 games, compared to 57 points for second-placed Razen Ball Sport Leipzig, before their expected confrontation on April 3 after the international break.

Canadian left back Davis got a direct red card in the 12th minute for a violent foul against Wataru Endo, but his dismissal did not affect Bayern and Lewandowski put him ahead five minutes later.

Serge Gnabry doubled the score in the 22nd minute, after a wonderful move in which Thomas Muller and Leroy Sane participated.

Lewandowski added a third goal after less than 60 seconds when he rose above the defenders to head down Mueller's cross from the right into the goal.

The Poland striker capped his powerful performance with the fourth goal in the 39th minute with his left foot from inside the penalty area, after a defensive error from Stuttgart after a start from Sani on the right wing.

Bayern's rhythm calmed down in the second half, but despite the numerical shortage, the Bavarian team continued to dominate the game and Lewandowski and Gnabry missed several chances to increase the score against their miserable opponent.
