On the evening of March 20, local time, the five-party meeting attended by representatives of the International Olympic Committee, the International Paralympic Committee, the Tokyo Olympic Organizing Committee, the Japanese government and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government unanimously decided that the Tokyo Olympics will not receive spectators from overseas.
Affected by the new crown epidemic, the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games, originally scheduled to be held in July 2020, have been postponed to July 23 and August 24, 2021, respectively.
