Clear: There will be no foreign audience during the Olympics

In early March, there were reports that the Japanese government was planning to stop foreign audiences from this summer's Olympics in Tokyo - due to the corona pandemic.

"Under the current circumstances, we can not receive foreign audiences," a close government source told The Mainichi at the time.

On Saturday, the International Olympic Committee, the Government of Japan and the Organizing Committee held a meeting on the subject.

And according to the AP, foreign audiences from the 2021 Olympics will be stopped.
