The Italian says that Olsen has a muscle injury in the abdomen, but expects the Swede to return after the national team break.

Olsen is selected in Janne Andersson's national team squad, and is normally given number one in the national team.

He has made 42 international appearances and started all six competitive matches last year.

Sweden begins the World Cup qualifier on March 25 against Georgia at Friends arena, and the injury means that questions are raised about Olsen's participation in that match.

The other goalkeepers in the Swedish squad are FC Copenhagen player Karl Johan Johnsson and Kristoffer Nordfeldt who play for Turkish Genclerbirligi.

The 31-year-old has started five games for Everton during the season, but has not played since the home loss to Fulham on 14 February.

He has not been on the bench since February 20.
