Six teams are scheduled to participate in baseball at the Tokyo Olympics, and so far, four teams from South Korea, Mexico, and Israel have won the right to participate in addition to Japan, the host country.



On the 16th, the WBSC = World Baseball Softball Confederation announced the schedule for the "American Continent Qualifying" and "Final Qualifying", which had been postponed due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection.



According to this, the "American Continent Qualifying" will be held in Florida, USA in early June, and eight teams including the United States and Cuba will compete and the first place will get the right to participate.



In addition, the final qualifying round will be held in Taichung, Taiwan from June 16th to 20th.



In the "Final Qualifying", in addition to Taiwan, Australia, China and the Netherlands, the 2nd and 3rd place teams of the "American Continent Qualifying" will be added, and a total of 6 teams will compete for the final slot.
