The Norwegian championships over 30 km would have offered a highlight that not even the World Cup or any competition in the World Cup reached: A meeting between Therese Johaug and Marit Björgen in 30 km.
Now there will be no NM week where apart from cross-country skiing, biathlon, ski jumping, Nordic combination, curling and dog sledding would be decided.
Kläbo is stopped when the club turns 100 years old
Björgen finished second in the Vasaloppet after Lina Korsgren.
She is happy to continue but has not announced a decision.
On Sunday, the world's premier winter Olympics turns 41 years old.
The event was to be decided at Granåsen March 25-28 by the club Byåsen, which was also celebrating its 100th anniversary.
- The club has put a lot of work into preparing for the championship, but we must do everything to stop the pandemic, says Johannes Hösflot Kläbo who himself competes for Byåsen.
