Raymond Domenech, former coach of the Blues, recent and ephemeral coach of Nantes, was reelected on Monday as president of the French football coaches union (Unecatef), the instance announced on Twitter.

The leader (69) is coming out of a failed experience on the Canaries bench, where he failed to win any of the seven matches he led in January and February.

Domenech, elected head of Unecatef in 2016, is its fourth president after José Arribas, Guy Roux and Joël Muller.

He was re-elected by the new governing body of the instance.

The latter also appointed him, along with Pierre Repellini, as the coaches' representative on the board of directors of the League (LFP).

The announcement comes two days after the Federal Assembly of the French Football Federation (FFF) chose to renew Noël Le Graët, in office since 2011, for a new term as president.
