A gang robbed Di Maria's house and reports of his family's kidnapping

According to media reports, Angel Di Maria had to leave the Paris Saint-Germain and Nantes match, on Sunday, because his home was subjected to a robbery during the meeting.

The Argentine star was replaced in the second half of the match, which ended in the defeat of Paris Saint-Germain, 2-1, in favor of Nantes, after the coach of the team, Mauricio Pochettino, was informed of the accident.

He replaced Pochettino Di Maria Plyandro Paredes, before accompanying the former Real Madrid striker to the dressing room.

According to the French newspaper L'Equipe, Pochettino later confirmed to reporters that Di Maria had left the stadium due to the storming of his home.

There were reports that Di Maria's family was at home during the robbery, according to the Spanish newspaper, Marca.

Some reports indicated that the robbery was violent. Di Maria's wife and children were kidnapped by the gang that broke into the house.

Di Maria had extended his contract with Paris Saint-Germain for an additional season until June 2022, the club announced in a statement Friday.

Di Maria stressed in recent months his attachment to Saint-Germain, as he became one of the main players in the team due to his skills and his left-footed shots.

Di Maria won 16 titles with Saint-Germain, including four league titles, and he also lifted the Champions League title with Real Madrid in 2014, according to "AFP".
