Violating 6 sporting bodies and closing 2 in Dubai

The Dubai Sports Council, in coordination with the Dubai Economy, has violated six fitness centers, clubs and academies, including closing two facilities, stopping the organization of a sporting event, and alerting eight other parties to the violation, as part of the continuous inspection campaigns carried out by control officers within the Dubai Sports Council work team and in coordination with Dubai Economy "to ensure the accurate and continuous application of precautionary measures and not to be complacent in implementing all the instructions included in the protocol pertaining to each facility and sport."

A statement issued by the Dubai Sports Council said that the violations imposed on some facilities varied between failure to wear masks and social distancing, and violation of decisions and instructions issued by the concerned authorities to maintain health and safety, while the reason for closing the sports facility was a result of repeated violations.

The violating sports facilities were distributed in several areas around Dubai, most of which are in Oud Metha, Al Muhaisnah, and Al Quoz.
