Despite a troublesome upload with all leaders in quarantine, Sweden managed to strike with third place in the mixed relay.

Despite three booms on the last shot, Martin Ponsiluoma was able to finish 14 seconds behind second-placed Italy.

It was a clear Norwegian victory.

Tiril Eckhoff, Marte Olsbu Röiseland, Tarjei Bö and Johannes Tingnes Bö had a total of four booms and won 1.08 before Italy.

Tough Swedish start

Sweden had a tough start, with three booms in the first shot for Elvira Öberg and one on the second.

But Anna Magnusson had only one boom, lying down, and she rode well, which took Sweden up from eighth to fourth place.

The battle for the other two podiums was initially between France and Italy.

But when France went on a round on the fifth shooter at the same time as Jesper Nelin shot full, Sweden was suddenly on the podium.

After the penalty round, the Frenchman had 15 seconds up to Sweden.

In the standing shoot, Nelin was a heel in the heel of Dominik Windisch.

They got a boom each and Nelin went out four seconds behind the Italian but six seconds ahead of the Frenchman Simon Desthieux.

Good ride of Ponsiluoma

Jesper Nelin switched to Martin Ponsiluoma just four hundredths behind Italy and the distance down to France had grown to 15 seconds.

Ponsiluoma and Italian Lukas Hofer started the first shoot at the same time.

But a boom on the Swede gave Italy a small lead.

Quentin Fillon Maillet also made a mistake and France was 11 seconds behind Sweden.

Ponsiluoma went fast and came in for the last shot at the same time as the Italian, but the Swede had three booms and went out as third 18 seconds behind Italy, eleven before France.

Ponsiluoma went fast on the last leg, pulled away from France and secured third place.
