The only national para-snowboard tournament was held in Nagano Prefecture, and Daichi Oguri, who won the World Cup last month in a row, won the championship for the first time in three years, but the result remains a challenge.

The tournament was held in Otari Village, Nagano Prefecture, and 19 athletes with disabilities in their legs and arms from all over the country competed for speed with a snowboard cross that slides on a course with curves and humps.

This year, each player skated the same course twice and decided the ranking in a good time, and 40-year-old Oguri, who is the representative of the Pyeongchang Paralympics, participated in a class with a serious foot injury.

As the temperature rose on a sunny day and the snow on the course became sherbet-like, Oguri fell without being able to turn the curve at the beginning of the first time, and then carefully slipped to the end.

The second time I was disqualified because I fell off the course due to a hump in the middle stage, but the first time was adopted and I won the tournament for the first time in three years.

Oguri was originally a snowboarder, but eight years ago, he amputated his right leg from the thigh in an accident at work, then resumed snowboarding with his artificial limbs, and won the World Cup in Finland last month for the second time in a row. And now it is number one in the world ranking.

Oguri recalled, "Today the snow was crunchy and I couldn't stand it. There were some parts that I attacked too much, but I'm not good at snow like this, so I have to practice more."

After that, he expressed his enthusiasm for the Beijing Paralympics, saying, "My goal is to win a gold medal. I want to practice more for that and win all the international competitions in the future."
