The veteran and now captain Andreas Palicka has participated in seven championships - but no Olympics.

In 2012 he was poked after the qualifier and in 2016 he was not really relevant.

"Anxiety-mixed delight"

This weekend's Olympic qualifiers were therefore extremely important for the 34-year-old who sees this summer's Olympics as the last chance.

After the secured Olympic ticket, he was lyrical.

- It is the first time in my career that I have felt an anxiety-mixed delight before a weekend.

I wanted this more than anything else, he says.

Palicka finished the World Cup in January, when Sweden took a surprising silver, playing injured.

Now the veteran hopes that he manages to stay whole until the highlight of the summer and perhaps his career.

"Missing on the CV"

- I hope and pray to all the gods that I may stay injury free and that you may experience it.

It's something I miss on my CV and something I'm really passionate about doing.

I do not know what words to use.

However, I have 29 matches left or something until June 27 so I have to put it aside and start thinking about it later, he says.
