This morning came the news that the Swedish biathlon coach Mattias Nilsson tested positive for corona and the entire management staff was quarantined.

Instead, those active who do not compete today must take on the leadership responsibility.

When Sweden was to shoot its way into the mixed relay, Gabriel Stegmayr and Mona Brorsson were on the shooting range to help.

- It is actually a pretty good atmosphere.

It is clear that it is very special, but we take this very seriously.

We see it as our chance to show what we stand for.

We are such a good team, we can handle this stuff, says Mona Brorsson to SVT Sport.

The shooting coach on the phone

Brorsson, who finished 41st in Saturday's hunt start, says that it is a completely different feeling to be in the leadership role.

- It's special.

You get nervous but it is a completely different type of nervousness.

Usually you are nervous for your own sake, now you are nervous for their sake.

If you push them in at an angle, it hits them.

They had shooting coach Jean-Marc Chabloz on the phone during the morning.

- We had some video calls but he just said "uh it will go well, you solve that".

So he also feels safe, says Mona Brorsson.

"Do what it takes"

She says that the riders acted immediately when the news came on Saturday night.

- We active who were left immediately said that we line up and I think the coaches were quite grateful for that.

Of course we do what is required, says Brorsson.
