Federation captain Janne Andersson was present in Helsingborg when HIF played a training match against Mjällby.

There he saw the national team veteran and injured Andreas Granqvist play his first match since the Allsvenskan meeting with Kalmar on June 18 last summer.

Got a feeling

Already a few minutes into the match, Granqvist stood for an assist when his long cross pass reached Wilhelm Loeper who made it 1-0.

But the assist cost and the captain was replaced during the break.

- I got a small feeling, not in the groin but higher up, in that fit.

It was not worse than that I could continue but of course you got a little worried.

We have checked a bit now but there will hopefully be no danger, he says to Aftonbladet.

"Will not bury me"

Janne Andersson will take the squad to the World Cup qualifiers later in March on Tuesday.

Granqvist will talk on the phone with the league captain during the evening or tomorrow.

But the 35-year-old no longer feels any stress ahead of the European Championships this summer.

- I myself have the insight that it may not hold and that it is over.

Since I am mentally prepared for it can be, there is nothing I go around and worry about.

If it works, I would be incredibly happy to be able to help the team here and be part of another playoff.

But if it does not work, there is nothing that will bury me for, says Granqvist.

The match ended 2-2.
