After an even start, Alexander Bolshunov finally took a superior victory.

The battle for the other two podium places became even smoother.

Jens Burman made up against the Norwegians Johannes Hösflot Kläbo and Pål Golberg.

It was a super even final sprint but in the end Burman was fourth, just 1.1 seconds behind third Golberg.

Kläbo took second place.

Fourth place is a real improvement on Burman's world cup best.

He has finished in tenth place in 15 kilometers and it was in Falun earlier this year.

- I was a little worried at first.

I was very far behind in the group, I had to go very hard in the beginning to get there.

But I felt refreshed today, says Burman after the competition.

"Could have hung on"

He also thought he had more to give.

- It was a bit of a shame that I was not lying in the back of Bolshunov when he pulled away because I felt very alert.

I think maybe I could have hung on, he says.

The second best Swede was William Poromaa in eleventh place, 41 seconds behind Bolshunov.

- It was stable anyway but it was tough.

I had a tough time, but I'm generally happy, says William Poromaa after the race.
