The idea was that SHL's basic series would end on March 25.
But after the league suffered further corona falls, they have chosen to postpone the basic series further.
Round 52 is still played as planned, on March 25.
The postponed matches will be played after the planned final round.
The league has announced that the new end date for the regular season is March 31.
- Since we have an ongoing infection within two teams and any further changes may be required, a final decision will be made regarding these new playing dates next week.
As with all match moves, we have had a close dialogue with the clubs and even at today's sports managers' meeting, all sports managers agreed on this proposal, says sports manager Johan Hemlin in a press release.
The league also announces that a schedule for the playoffs will be communicated shortly.
