The Japanese handball league will be held at the Yoyogi Gymnasium in Shibuya, Tokyo, which will be the venue for the Tokyo Olympics. The playoff began on the 12th, with Osaki Electric for men and Sony Semiconductor Manufacturing for women advancing to the semifinals on the 13th.

The Japanese league of handball was interrupted last season due to the spread of the new coronavirus, and the playoffs were also canceled.

This season, the regular season ended with 173 games under strict infection control, and the playoffs by the top four teams began on the 12th.

The venue was the Yoyogi Gymnasium in Tokyo, which is the same as the Tokyo Olympics, and in the men's first match, Osaki Denki, who was third in the regular season, and Daido Steel, who was fourth in the regular season, played against each other.

In the first half, Daido Steel widened the lead with a coordinated attack centered on Japan national team Yuto Agarie at the command tower, and turned back with a big difference of 15 to 9.

However, in the second half, Osaki Electric caught up with consecutive points and did not yield to each other until the end of the game, drawing 27 to 27.

As a result, Osaki Denki, the top player in the regular season, advanced to the semi-finals on the 13th.

In addition, the women's regular season 3rd place Sony Semiconductor Manufacturing defeated 4th place Mie Violet Iris 27-21 to advance to the semi-finals.
