In office since 2011, Noël Le Graët is seeking a new four-year mandate at the head of the FFF against the restless

Frédéric Thiriez

and the more discreet Michel Moulin.

Voting is secret and is done remotely due to health restrictions.

The election is based on a two-round majority list ballot.

More than 200 delegates, mostly from the amateur world, will take part in the vote.

If a list obtains the absolute majority of votes cast in the first round, it is declared victorious and obtains all the seats on the FFF Executive Committee.

The result of the election, in two rounds if no candidate achieves a majority in the first, is expected between 11:00 and 12:00 UT.

At 79,

Noël Le Graët

was content during his campaign to defend his record, which he considers "

serious in a very difficult period

", in the face of heavy fire from his historic rival Thiriez, former president of the Football League ( 2002-2016).

The Breton entrepreneur, recovered from lymphoid leukemia announced before the 2018 World Cup won by the Blues, can rely on the good form of the national selections, golden finances although damaged by the crisis, and a list of experience .

No response to the attacks of Frédéric Thiriez

The former mayor of Guingamp and ex-president of En Avant (1972-1991 and 2002-2011) relies on Jean-Michel Aulas and Marc Keller, presidents of Lyon and Strasbourg, and on the general manager of FC Metz Hélène Schrub , to win the votes of professional clubs.

He also offered himself a prize of war by attracting the president of the Paris-Île-de-France League, Jamel Sandjak, formerly on competing lists.

Le Graët did not respond to any of his opponents' attacks: "

I gave instructions to my whole team to tell them to pick up their tweets and put forward our program,

" he told AFP Start of the week.

Frédéric Thiriez (68) has often been on the offensive to debunk the current president of the FFF, guilty in his eyes of abandoning an amateur football "

asphyxiated

" financially and prey to the "

 discouragement of volunteers

".

The former president of the Professional Football League has made many promises such as doubling the number of licensees in ten years, the creation of a football parliament, or support for the Corsican selection to be recognized by Fifa.

To win the battle, the lawyer surrounded himself with former internationals Basile Boli and Jean-Pierre Papin, as well as the business manager and former Toulouse FC manager Olivier Sadran.

But his campaign was marred by a hitch when figures like Tony Parker and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga denied being on his list of supporters.

For his part,

Michel Moulin

(60 years old) has built an eclectic list with presidents of amateur clubs and personalities such as the former judoka and minister David Douillet, the former boss of the DCRI (Central Directorate of Internal Intelligence) Bernard Squarcini and journalist Christine Kelly.

The founder of ParuVendu and 10 Sport, club advisor currently engaged with the Blois club (National 2), has increased the number of trips like his competitors in the election, without benefiting from the same media coverage.
