Al-Wehdat faces the "First Division Champions" in the final of the Jordan Shield

Al-Wehdat and Al-Jalil are seeking to win the first titles of the Jordanian football season 2021 when they meet today, Saturday, at Prince Muhammad City Stadium in Zarqa, in the final match of the Jordan Shield competition.

The confrontation between the two teams in the final of the Jordan Shield is renewed after 26 years of the only meeting that brought them together and ended in favor of the units with two clean goals.

The unit is considered more likely to win and maintain the title that was crowned last year at the expense of Ramtha, while Al-Jalil is looking for the biggest surprises of the competition and winning its title for the first time in its history after ascending this season to the ranks of professional clubs champion of the First Division League.

Both teams have succeeded in maintaining a clean sheet so far, as Al-Wehdat qualified as the first group champion with two victories over Sahab 1-0 and Maan 4-0, and overtook their traditional rivals Al-Faisali 1-0 in the semi-finals, while Al-Jalil qualified as a champion of the fourth group with two victories over Al-Salt and Shabab Al-Aqaba. With one result 1-0, Al-Jazira overcame on penalties 13-12 after they tied negatively in normal time in the semi-final round.

It is noteworthy that Al-Wehdat is the team that has won the Jordan Shield the most 10 times, compared to 7 for Al-Faisali and 5 for Ramtha.
