«Asian» determines the names of the host countries for the World Cup qualifiers

The AFC announced yesterday the names of the countries hosting the Asian qualifying groups for the 2022 World Cup and the 2023 AFC Asian Cup, which will be held by the grouping system from May 31 to June 15 2021.

China hosts the first group, which includes the leaders Syria, the Philippines, the Maldives and Guam, while Kuwait hosts the second group, which includes the leaders Australia, Jordan, Nepal and Taiwan.

The third group will be held in Bahrain, and it includes leaders Iraq, Iran, Hong Kong and Cambodia, while Saudi Arabia hosts the fourth group, which includes Uzbekistan, Singapore, Yemen and Palestine.

For its part, Qatar will host Group E, which includes Oman, Afghanistan, India and Bangladesh, while Japan will host Group F matches, which also includes Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Myanmar and Mongolia.

Group G matches will be held in the Emirates, and also includes Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia, while South Korea hosts Group H, which also includes leaders Turkmenistan, Lebanon, North Korea and Sri Lanka.
