According to the Sumo Association, as a result of the examination, it was found that two people, Onogawa, who belongs to the Yamakyo room, and Otowayama, who belongs to the Onoe stable, were infected.



There was no infection of wrestlers or other members of the association.



The two infected people had no particular symptoms, and we plan to quarantine, hospitalize, and identify close contacts in the future.



The Sumo Association will close the spring season for the two masters, and will decide by the 12th whether the wrestlers in the room to which they belong will be able to participate while listening to the opinions of experts.



An inspection before the first place in January revealed that five wrestlers were infected, and all the wrestlers in the four rooms to which the infected wrestlers belong, including the wrestlers who were known before that, were in close contact.
