The Las Superpoderosas football academy, or superwomen, is one of the first in the country for girls only.

Bolivia is one of the countries in South America where most women are murdered and in a national survey, 70 percent answered that they had been subjected to violence by a male partner.

Women are expected to clean, cook and do other things than play football and have to fight prejudice on a daily basis.

- In the beginning it was very tough because there is a lot of discrimination in the country.

So I had to get past several obstacles, but when I got better, they took me more seriously.

It is a difficult but beautiful road, says F17 national team member Thiana Berdeja who is 15 years old.
