The Professional Football League announced Thursday that the next Champions Trophy pitting the French champion against the winner of the Coupe de France will take place on August 1, 2021 in Tel Aviv, Israel.

The meeting will take place at Bloomfield stadium which can accommodate up to 28,000 spectators (perfectly useless information during a pandemic period, but you never know, August is far away).

PSG have emerged victorious in the last eight editions of this trophy contested at the start of the season.

The last, postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, was held in Lens in January and ended with a Parisian victory against Marseille (2-1).

The LFP has often made sure to organize this event far from France, in order to offer itself a kind of international showcase.

Shenzhen (China), Tangier (Morocco) and even Montreal (Canada) have welcomed it in turn in recent years.

The LFP has also announced that the last two days of Ligue 1 this season, multiplexes initially scheduled for Saturdays May 15 and 22, will be shifted by one day and will take place on Sundays May 16 and 23, at 9:00 p.m.
